A former Art Teacher at Tertiary level for over 30 years teaching Sculpture, Drawing and Art History at Federation University, Ballarat, Betty has concentrated on her own creative development in sculpture, drawing and painting since her retirement in 2005.
Betty has received many prestigious Art Awards, including awards with the Association of Sculptors of Victoria, The Contemporary Art Society of Victoria, Art Tour International Magazine in 2018 and 2020 with TOP 60'S MASTERS AWARDS in New York, USA.
Betty has exhibited in 7 Solo Art Exhibitions including Grimandi Art Gallery in USA in 2018 and over 180 group shows, including The Metropolitan Gallery Art Museum, Las Vegas, USA, in 2017.
Betty is a member of the Association of /Sculptors of Victoria, Victorian Contemporary Sculptor Association, The Contemporary Art Society, The VAS, The Geelong Sculpture Association.
Betty's Art is in the Federation University collection and private collections in Australia and overseas. She is also published in several World Wide Art Books, Curated by Despina Tunberg, Australia Art Edit, Sydney, Art Tour International Magazine, USA, and The Art Collectors Choice 2020. London and Japan.
Her Art Work evolves around nature and the human figure, creating pieces that depict harmonious, peaceful interpretations with an emphasis on curving tactile formations.
Her media include watercolour, oils, pen & ink, mono prints, carving in stone & wood, oxy welding sheet steel, and modelling wax for bronze casting.
