Ray is a popular and highly regarded painting teacher at the Victorian Artists Society.
Ray conducts Tuesday evening class in oil painting at the Society during school terms.
Ray is a professional artist of 40 years plus experience. Lance McNeill provided Ray with his introduction of the method of oil painting. Later the late Shirley Bourne provided instruction in portrait painting incorporating the influence of the Meldrum painting principles as interpreted by the late Sir William Dargie.
