Day time and evening classes are conducted in the VAS Studio by well known artists and teachers for Portraiture, Landscape, Still Life, Life Model in Oil, Pastel, Watercolour, Acrylic and Gouache.

Barbara McManus is very well known and highly regarded for her impressionistic work in both pastel and oil. Figure and character studies feature prominently in her work.

VAS Artist of the Year and Archibald entrant Christine offers students the choice of drawing or painting in oils with expert tuition.

2000 and 2003 VAS Artist of the Year. An experienced and very popular teacher or traditional oil painting.
Ray has many awards to his credit, including the coverted Victorian Artists Society's Artist of the Year for 2000 and 2003.
Ray has had several successful one man shows and is in constant demand as a tutor, judge and demonstrator.

2001 VAS Artist of the Year. Paul's class observes the 'traditional' approach to painting.
Relationships of tone, form and colour are studied from life including portrait, figure and still life subjects. Students are encouraged to observe carefully while advancing their technical skills and knowledge at their own pace.

Nell caters for the beginner and the advanced students alike. A well credentialed and distinguished teacher with considerable experience in watercolour.
Nell's work is in great demand in both the private and corporate sector, both here and overseas.
Greg is a Tonal Realist oil painter and teacher with thirty years experience. This 2 day workshop will include demonstrations, step by step process from start to finish. Still life subject matter will be set up for appropriate experience of the student.
'Keep it Simple'
Ted is water colourist with over 20 years experience working with watercolour. He is a Fellow of the VAS and winner of the 2007 Artist of the Year award. The workshop will take students through the process of landscape, cityscape & seascape painting. The workshop will also include demonstrations on how to visualize and keep it simple.

Many of Australia's finest artists have practiced their life drawing in the studio (since 1874) where the classes are held.
Discount - Pensioner and Social Security card holders are entitled to a 10% discount off total enrolment. Please supply card number. Non card Holders enroling in more than one class are entitled to a 10% discount on the total of any additional enrolments.
