10am to 3:30pm
Meeting at the Victorain Artists' Society building.
This weekend workshop should find us in the shade painting among the paths, gardens and architecture of this wonderful Victorian era park. We will keep things light allowing for easy travel and use the VAS studio as our base. Basic watercolour sketching and painting techniques will be covered. Mike will address perspective and how to add people to your paintings as well as painting light and shadow. Painting outdoors will occupy most of our class time.
A native Californian, Mike Kowalski has been interpreting his world with pencil, pen and brush since he was a young child. Mike is an internationally awarded artist and illustrator whose career in the United States spanned 35 years. He now lives in Melbourne where he paints, sketches, cooks and teaches.
