Let your imagination take over
Relish the unexpected
Treat yourself to playing with paint, different materials and various techniques that can enhance and enrich your practice. Under the guise of having fun, learn about colour combinations and relationships, ways of applying paint, and the scope and versatility of the medium.
The workshop is suitable for those with experience with acrylics, those wanting to get back into painting and for beginners.
A fee of $15.00 will be asked of each student to cover various mediums, products and other materials that will be provided and which are outside the basic materials list. This fee is payable directly to the tutor.
Lisa graduated with an Honours Degree in Painting from the ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE des BEAUX-ARTS in Paris where she lived between 1972 and 1987.
Her work is figurative, though not traditional in style, and is concerned with an attempt to marry more abstract spaces with these figurative elements. It is built up of layers of paint that are often rubbed, spattered, sponged and incised until the desired effect is achieved. Colour and texture play an important role, along with whimsy and a desire to convey, in some way, some of the feelings that life, places and events inspire in us.
She has always worked as a full-time artist and exhibits on a regular basis. Her work features in collections, both private and corporate, in Europe, Australia and the USA.
