Covering a broad sweep of techniques and approaches needed to understand how to draw competently. First stages of drawing, exploration of different mediums and working from photographic material. Linda Weil is a professional artist with over 40 years’ experience in drawing and illustration. Starting with a career as Artists’/Illustrator for a variety of national magazines, she now exhibits her work in a variety of galleries and exhibitions throughout Australia. Her engaging and detailed drawings of animals, nature studies and fantastical objects have won numerous awards. She has authored and illustrated ‘How to Draw Lifelike Animals’ and co-authored ‘The Art of Drawing Animals’ for the well-known international art publisher, Walter Foster, as well as creating unique drawings promoting Derwent pencils. Linda teaches regular drawing classes locally in Victoria, workshops interstate, and private tutoring sessions.
