The Victorian Artists' Society is a society for art practitioners and lovers.
This website shows the full range of our activities.
Our members are made up of people ranging from new artists right through to very accomplished and awarded artists. Our network is large and far reaching. Our ‘Friends of the Vics’ group support us with fund raising activities.
We are very proud of our historical roots and past. But we see ourselves as a modern organisation.
The V A S is a registered Not-for-Profit organisation and a registered charity.
Many of our activities are organised by members of our council who work on a volunteer basis
Three new Fellows were awarded in May 2011: Ted Dansey, Ray Hewitt, Don James

The Victorian Artists' Society title seems to get shortened by those that are part of our network. Affectionately known as The VICs by many of our artists, you will see, for the purposes of this website, that the acronym "VAS" (said as: Vee-A-eS) is used.
