Trains

Parliament train station is a short walk from VAS and is in the City Loop, with the majority of Metropolitan trains regularly running to and from Parliament.

City Circle

The City Circle Tram is a FREE and convenient way to see the sights of central Melbourne and the Docklands while experiencing a ride on one of the city’s much loved heritage trams. Trams operate in both directions every 12 minutes between 10am and 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and between 10am and 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Parking near the VICs

Parking is available close to the VAS. Close by, there is one hour parking in Albert Street directly opposite the building. Further down Albert St, between Lansdowne St and Nicholson St, there is 2 hours parking. There is also good parking in Lansdown St. There are 4 hours spots available on Victoria Parade on the inner Tram side of the road. A Parking station is also located nearby in Albert Street.

Most time parking is non problematic. We do however, advise that artists check for any major Melbourne events (such as the International Flower Show or major sporting events at the MCG) before deciding exhibition opening event times.
